The Phone Call

Last night I recieved a frantic phone call from a great friend of mine. Now we talk a lot but not as much as I'd like. We're both just so busy busy. Yesterday I was thinking about her (which I always do) and the phone rang. It was her. :-) She just did something that threw her for a loop and she called me about it. Now you might be thinking whats so odd about that? Well to me the odd thing is that I had experienced and done the almost exact same thing YEARS ago and she didn't know it. So what would make her call me for guidance. I don't know what it was but I am thankful for it. I am glad I was able to be there for her and help her through. I love you babe! *MUAH*

To me this just shows how and why we're such great friends. I can't wait until we all retire together. (well close enough anyways)

I'm old.

LOL well not really but could be. Today is my 31st Birthday. GO ME! Can't wait for Lamp Chops tonight for dinner. YUM YUM!

Our Christmas

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Ours was great. The kids kept saying "This is the best Christmas EVER." All day. LOL

Happy Holiday's!

Why do I go shopping?

Why must I go into stores? The Princess mentions getting a Belle dress and I'm all over it since she use to like Cinderella and well I don't...LOL. After thinking about it I'm like there won't be any out - I'll get it later for her bday in May. I was in Target (YIPPEE...LOL) and there it was. COOL! SCORE MOM.

Anyways so this lady walks by and says have you seen the webkinz?? I said no - I didn't even know what they were until this morning when I looked it up online to see what the deal was. She was like -well thier on sale. Okay cool. Anyways so I look (cause man they were pricey online) and thier only $12 bucks...SHIT...I wasn't gonna get them any....I ended up with one for each boy. DAMN IT! Why'd I go shopping again?

Heaven???

Okay well maybe not but gosh darn close.

Yummy Peanut Butter and Jelly on Toasted Wheat bread. *drooling* When you just don't know what you want to have this is a clear choice.

All that melted yummy PB with a thin smear of grape jelly makes my mouth water.

Go on ... you know you want some. I'm cool like that. LOL

Sledding

So we took the kids sledding for the first time on the 9th. Hubby picked out this awesoem sledding area with tons of nice white snow. We got many great pictures because of his smartness.

Oh wait!

Yeah no the place actually was already melting and so we had tons of fun mud. We all we filthy. Except Ch'neu - have no idea how he managed to stay clean. LOL

Enjoy!

FINALLY!

Wow it's been awhile since I blogged. OPPS! Sorry man it's busy time of year isn't it.

I finished wrapping presents last night for my kids and hubby. My firend Angie invited me over to hang out and laughed at me when I showed up with a box full of presents and wrapping paper. HEY I had to get it done and when's a better time then just hanging out...LOL. She kept saying "Man I just watched you wrap all that" Yeah thanks for the help FRIEND. hehe. It was all good though - her DD helped though as well as she could anyways. My cute little paper crusher and sisscor stealer (no baby's were harmed in this experience). She even helped mom clean up by throwing the stuff back into a plastic bag. Man way to make them work before a year old there Angie.

Oh then I get home right thinking YES! I'm done - what do I find in the garage as I'm unloading - a little bag with more gifts form the kids to each other in it. Darn it gotta get that done now FIGURES LOL.

brb gonna load some pic into Photobucket so I can share out "sledding fun".

Why Christmas is abbreviated as Xmas.

The "X" in Xmas stands for the Greek letter "Chi," the first letter in the Greek word for Christ. Over time, the letter "X" came to stand for the name of Christ. The practice gained very wide usage in the mass emdia duringt he twentieth century - but not, as many erroneously believe, because of any squeamishness about using the word "Christmas." Often, Xmas simply fits better in a headline.

~~The Everything Christmas Book 1994

While I am more comfortable always using Christmas this allows for some thought about the whole taking Christ out of the holiday. Blessings to all.

Tackle It Tuesday

Tackle It Tuesday Meme

Oh my first one. Well mostly cause I am too lazy to remember to do this on a Tuesday....LOL.

I decided to start in on wrapping the gifts I have already purchased that are strewn all over my garage before my kids see them. I got a lot of them done and a few ready to be mailed out. Yeah me! Tonight I hope to finish whatI have out there after the kids go to bed. This is big for me since I usually wait until Dec 23 or 24 to even start wrapping. Then my back hurts for days after...LOL.

Not to mention a lot of my baking is done too. Maybe this should be Tackle It Week for me...LOL. Must get all of this done before Shua's surgury on Monday.

Santa doesn't bring electronics!

Didn't you know that? LOL The boys keep asking for DS's - well one WOW and two I can't afford two. So we encouraged them to save thier money for it cause mommy and daddy can't afford it and other things for Christmas and Santa doesn't bring electronics.

It worked though and they have been working hard to save thier money and they should both be able to buy one in Jan (we're going to pay for half of the cost of one plus one game while they pay the other half).

Guess that makes the big ticket items (TV/DVD player) from mom and dad. We'll rock this year. :-)

We always try to get at least one "Santa letter" item for them every year.

Moment of Silence Please!

Lets take a moment a reflect on the loss of the "Purple People Eater" (my old van). It sold today and is no longer with us here in CO Springs. May she enjoy her new home of Pueblo. May she bring joy to the Niece who's awesome Uncle bought it for.

I am proud of my little van. She did good today and got the immediate approval of a CO certified mechanic. Such a good girl.

Good bye! Thank you for all the lovely rides. Thank you for taking my family where ever we wanted to go (except when your engine died - but we fixed that) :-)

Good bye old friend.

Too much caffine?

Okay so yesterday I had the bright idea to go to Sonic during "Happy Hour" for some half price drinks between the time I get TouZaj from the bus stop and pick up Ch'neu from chior. Okay so far so good. I even in my smartness take along two sippy cups for the daycare girls as I have experienced the Styrofoam cup vs Straw speal before. Why in the name of all thats Holy would my 1 yr old DCG remove the lid from the sippy cup and proceed to spill her drink on herself? All to get to the ice. (well granted the ice from Sonic is the BOMB). SIGH MAN my new VAN too! Good thing I was smart again and got a clear drink. Ms. Holly 2 pts - Eva 1pt. LOL. Love that girl!

Meanwhile I got myself a lovely Rt 44 Peach Ice Tea. YUM!!!!!!!!!

Well all day long I have been craving a Peppermint White Choc Mocha form Starbucks (yeah I'm not a coffee drinnker but this is to DIE for) and I whined about it to anyone who would listen. Well only one cared enough to give me a fix. LOVE YOU BABE! So shortly after finishing my lovely Rt44 Tea I was sippin away on my "Died and gone to heaven" Mocha........

CAN WE SAY CAFFINE OVERLOAD!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I felt woosey and faint for almost an hour. I was non functioning. DAMN I over induldged. But it was OH SO GOOD!

Happy Holiday's

Oh boy - I haven't written much lately. Forgot the lovely post about our adventures in Christmas card picture taking. This year I attempted it on my own. The kids were lazin around (TouZaj was sick) and doing nothing. SO mom forced them into matching PJ's and displayed and configured them my way....nothing natural about our pictures people...LOL JK. I had them pretend to be sleeping...LOL yeah who sleeps with a goofy grin Ch'neu? LOL I don't want to know. Anyways after about 30mins we had enough shots to play with. I quickly got on Kodak.com and played around (meanwhile Ms Stacy was guiding my hand on IM) I think we did a pretty good job. They are not the kids in a Igloo like last year but their pretty darn cute. HEY they are my kids of course they are cute. Say otherwise and you might not be one of the select few to recieve a card.

So mark me up as the coolest mother this year. LOL. As people who know me know I go crazy over the holiday's and my house is an explosion of decorations (none outside though - can't convince DH that he needs to do that...LOL) Well this year I got my kids each of thier own Christmas Tree's to be decorated as they wished in thier bedrooms. Who knew that all day everyday since I'd get Thanked over and over for it. Below are some pictures of my decorations and thier tree's. They are so proud of them and picked out the ornamnets and stuff themselves. They even used toys from thier rooms.

On the outside note - I managed to find two deer at a garage sale in October. I got them for $5.00. Hoped they'd work but didn't hold my breath. Well THEY WORK. So out in my front lawn this year are Mr. and Mrs Deer. How cute is that!

New Ride

Chef came home a few weeks ago saying I needed a new van. Those who know me know about my Purple People eater. The poor baby is old but still runs well ok.

Anyways so every weekend he has been in search of a van. I wanted a Dodge with stow n go and a DVD player. Well he found me a van finally last Saturday. Needless to say it isn't what I wanted but it is nice all the same. I just have to get use to the size of this thing. My husband sure likes big vehicles. It took me a year to get use to driving the truck. Next he'll want to lift the van...ROFL. It's my daughters new home cause she refuses to get out of it anytime we try to come home. It is a pretty Chevy Uplander. Now if you've ever seen a Uplander what I'm about to say will seem pretty normal for you. My nice new family van is a SUV wannabe (or as my friend Nicole says - it's like a SUV *BLEEP* a minivan and they had a baby) a big baby at that. Now my extended family has issues (don't we all) and now for some reason my poor van has an identiy issue as well. As long as I don't name her Sybil or Ellen we're good.

I'm getting off topic though - she is a great ride. So smooth and such a gentle stop. The DVD player is a plus. There's no stow n go but I can live without it - since I never had it in the first place. LOL. She has power doors though and well frankly having 4 doors on a van for me is new. (Did I mention my old baby was a 95 and she only had 3 doors.) It is nice not to have to walk all the way around to let my kids out now.

As my friend Sonya said "It's not a soccer mom van." Very true! Here look for yourself. Sorry the pic is drak it was after 5pm when we got home the other night and I am not silly enough to take pictures again....LOL.

YUMMY!

I finally made the Pioneer Woman's famous Lasagana. It was my first time so I am a Lasagana making virgin. We usually buy the frozen ones and my kids gobble them up. I mad ethis last night and everyone enjoyed it. T was in a mood so we won't talk about his experience ok. DH even had leftovers at lunch today and he rarley eats MY LEFTOVERS....LOL. Dorky man is a meat man. Anyways I'm a dork and I took pics - sorry they are a little dark. Look at all that yummy goodness. YUM! See Shua isn't the only one who knows how to cook!

I need a nap

Okay so the weekend was a long one with Monday off and no daycare kids. YEAH! Right? No. T came down with a virus and was out of commision on Sunday - poor baby cause it was a nice day for bike rides and family outings. Instead we stayed home and did nada. Which in itself was nice but my poor baby was sick. Yesterday was back to work and it was pretty easy. Two kids didn't return yet so we had a small group and just played games and went out for a special lunch. So today we're full again. YEAH! Back to normal. Sort of. I have coughers and it's chilly outside. Poor baby's. So we're having another lazy day. I wish they could feel better. Poor little things. It's not about the germs spreading which is enough to make me run but it's seeing them not feeling well. My littlest dck is so sleepy and it's only 8am. Poor baby. I hope I can keep it contained. :-)

Oh did I mention the horror that it is almost Thanksgiving! Hello 1 week away! How'd that happen? Didn't we just have Halloween? Oh boy! Though I won't complain abotu the yummy food. I drool just thinking about it.

Why she gotta do that for?

Sara tagged me for a work meme. At first I was like HUH? Now I think I get it though so here I go.

I had a paper route in the early 90's that I never saw any money from cause my mom stole it all. Hated that job - wonder why.

Then I worked at the Popeye's that opened in Baumholder Germany my JR of High School.

I worked at the Darien Lake amusment park in the summer of 95 out of Buffalo NY - cute guys and tshirts what more can you ask for. LOL

Shortly after I entered the delayed enlistment program and since I had time to kill I worked at the Golden Corrall in Lawton, OK as a cashier. I walked two miles each way to get there and home cause my mother didn't have transportation.

I joined the Air Force in Oct 95. I was an Airmen for my four years but got out shortly after my oldest was born because daycare was expensive and I didn't want to depol and leave him alone.

Oh then I satrted my own Home Daycare on base. I did that for a couple years until we PCS'd to Turkey.

In Turkey I worked at the Child Development Center (big strech form my previous emploment huh...lol). Had to quit when we PCS'd back to the States in 04.

Once in CO I reopened my home daycare again and have been doing this ever since.

Okay I have no one to tagg since I'm new to all of this and have no clue who reads my blog. :-)

I's smart don't you know

I's is very smart. Uh huh. I even have a pretty certificate that tells me so. I have offically earned my Child Development Associate Credential (otherwise known as my CDA)

What is that you might ask. I honestly do not know. Everyone tells me that it is an awesome thing and it'll help me if I choose to stop running my own home business and I'd like to work at a center or preschool. Sort of a degree (more like before you get a degree - like you've been through all the trainings why don't you have a degree...LOL) Most likely reason I don't is I get super anxity just THINKING about going to school again. *shudder* Yes I'm pathetic.

Here's a quote from the letter I received with my certificate.

"CONGRATULATIONS! Enclosed is your Child Development Associate Credential. You should be very proud because your credential is testimony of your demonstrated compentence in working with young children and thier families."

AWE - see I said I's have smarts. I have the papers to prove it. :-) Do you think they say that cause I sent them my hard earned money? Don't answer that!

Frog Legs

Sitting here on my computer. Lia is sitting on the couch cuddling with Daddy. *insert AWE here* They are watching the cooking channel. I vaguely hear what thier talking about when all of a sudden my sweet tiny adorable 3 yr old daughter says "Frog legs! YUMM!" WHAT! I shout. Daddy replies "My baby wants frog legs I'll have to go get some." I hang my head in shame. I thought this was MY child. My little girl who I could have pedicure parties with, watch girly movies with and all those assorted "girly" things.

Why oh why would a girl who hates anything NOT chicken and fries want FROG LEGS!!! WHY!!!!!!!

Sinful

Okay so I happened upon another blog that I so love right now. I was just nicely sitting here waiting on the girls to go to sleep so I could go workout in the other room (another post-yikes) I got pulled in though and as they say the rest is history. http://thepioneerwoman.com/ This blog (which I will shortly add in the column under blogs) is sinful and it's hard to get away from. I only managed because I just have to share. She is a woman married to a Cowboy and they live on a working cattle ranch. Now thats not the sinful part. The sinful part is how she shares her reciepes and make you feel like you have gained 20lbs just reading them (I should be working out now...LOL) and her lovely true love story between her and her Marlboro Man. This story is so much better then half or more of the romance books I find myself reading (um very cheap at the goodwill ok...lol) Anyways I couldn't NOT share with my girls. Hope you find as much pleasure from this blog as I do. Now I am off to workout.

You can write your name?

KaLia can write her name. Last night at dinner she was playing with it. Then today at art tiem she wrote it out on her own. She is growing up too fast.

Halloween Pictures

The kids had a blast on Halloween. We went to a friend's house for a party before TOTing. She went all out and the kids had a blast!!! They want to go back to Ms Angie's house now. I swear we didn't even have to TOT after this party. LOL. It was chilly for TOTing but thankfully didn't rain like the forcast said. Got to love CO.

Happy Halloween

Oh the joys of kids in costumes...LOL. Princess told me a few days ago that she wanted to be an ugly girl???? Where'd she get that one? She is now purple Rock-n-roll Fairy.....LOL. Purple dress, tall black boots and wings. Once I figure out pictures I'll post ones for the kids dressed up. LittleMan is the SCREAM dude and Monkey is a Ninja/Samuri....lol. Fun Times.

Princess: Mommy, I carry my Ello (Hello) Itty (kitty) basket and I go to the doors and I say "Trick or Treat" so I can get candy on Halloween.
Mommy: Yes dear you do.
Princess: And I EAT it!
Mommy: When we get home and you get one or two peices.
Princess: No I eat all of my candy in my basket.
Mommy: We'll see

Isn't easier sometimes to just put it off until they can understand later that you in fact only mean to allow them to have 1 or 2 peices....LOL.

Apple Seeds

So they are all eating apples. My 6 yr old insists that he is going to plant the seeds out front to grow a tree. I say that is a great idea but we won't live here when the tree starts to grow and no one will take care of it. He finishes up. As he leaves the table he says "When I turn 18 I will eat an apple, get the seeds and plant it in our back yard."

My 3yr old just said "I have a seed, Mommy. I found it myself. I am going to plant it out in the backyard." I said Honey we can't plant tree's on base. She replies "Okay I will put it back in my apple for later. With his brothers and sissers."

Crazyiness runs in the family

Okay so it's 9:30PM and I am sititng on the couch watching tv before heading up to bed. All of a sudden C walks into the living room carrying one shoe and a stuffed puppy. He looks at me and sits on the couch. I asked him what he was doing and he kept looking at me. I said whats with the shoe? He just continues to stare at me. I said go back to bed. Nothing. C go back to bed it's night time. Nothing. I said pick up your shoe and your puppy and go upstairs and go to bed. He gives me a dirty look but picks up his shoe and puppy and goes back upstairs. SO I quickly call Shua who I had just gotten off the phone with and tell him what happened. "Oh yeah he does that all the time. " He says. WHAT! Thanks for telling me.

I have on occaision done this to my parents - my mother will tell me about converstations that I have had with them. Oh boy! My son is crazy too. LOL

Report cards and Red Devil

Parent Teacher conference's were last night. They went very well and I am so happy with this new school. (see Stacy not all D11 schools suck - just Monroe and Russell) The boys are doing great. Monkey has all P's and 1 P+. LittleMan has 4 A's, 2 B's and 1 C. His C is in writing - he forgets how to spell the simple words when writing paragraphs. This is his first "letter" report card and darn it I think he did just great. They both are above benchmark in all tests they give them.

Chef - oh boy - so he calls Wednesday night "I get to be an aggressor tomorrow. I can't wait!" I said okay honey whatever floats your boat - you have fun and don't kill too many of your friends." So last night he calls. "I am so sore! It's my fault though. " I said yep it is so did you have fun. He replies "Yes! I'll see you tomorrow." Okay dear night. I swear Red Devil was just a way for grown men to play Cowboys and Indians.

God bless our men fighting everyday for our freedom and bring them home safe. Two in particular - David and Paul. Welcome home Nick!

Disclaimer: No one said I could spell or write so at least LittleMan comes by it honestly! LOL

Where's the time go?

I keep forgetting about this blog. Though I don't have many readers ...(LOL Thanks Sara!) Ummm what has been going on. NADA and a whole lot. My daycare went through an overhaul. All new kids - ALL GIRLS!!!!!!!!! OMG...LOL. It's been fun though and my daughter is happy. The girls have been awesome and for the most part no drama (saving that for the teens years). Did I mention thier all cute too. hehe. One reminds me of the Z girls.

The boys have thier parent/teacher conferences set for tomorrow night. I am excited because I know for the most part the reviews will be great. They are both enjoying this new school so much more then the one from last year. The teachers are so much more involved.

My oldest is getting too big. I think he takes his role as the "Man of the house while Daddy is out of town seriously."

So on Saturday there wasn't much trash in the inside can so I asked Ch'neu to carry it out for me. Fast forward to Monday. I am pulling the bag out to take outside and Ch'neu offers to take it out for me - I said okay as long as it isn't too heavy. He said no I got it. (sigh - so big) He comes back in and I say "Do you think you can move the cans to the curb like Dad does?" "Do they come today?" " No tomorrow morning." "Okay - I can do it" So I'm waiting and watching and I see he has took both cans out front. Okay so why isn't he inside? I run out to see what he is messing around with and he is taking the neighbors can to the curb for them WITHOUT BEING ASKED! (insert AWE here). He is growing up and trying to be such a caring guy.

This of course all stems after an afternoon of being teased cause he likes a girl and me trying to explain to him that by being a "Cool" guy he just has to let it roll off his back and if he likes her say "Yeah I do....SO?" or if thier just friends saying "She is my friend and she is a girl. SO?" LOL Goodness help me - I am not ready for this!

Hesitation

hmmmm okay so today's the day. The day when Monkey is going to school with no more meds. I feel that the K team pretty much forced us to medicate Monkey last year otherwise they would of treated him as if he had the plague and was a degenerate 5 yr old. His teacher this year is sweet and wonderful and understands the needs of an ADHD child. OMG seriously! LOL So after much thought we decided to give it a go and today he mad ehte plunge. Here's to hoping he does well and everyone survives. Don't get me wrong he isn't THAT bad - he really isn't and anyone who knows him knows this. Putting him on meds last year was mostly to not kill his LOVE for school since he went to class with over 22 students and 3 teachers who didn't give a damn. Not just my thoughts either. My good friend Stacy's DD was in that class everyday and she could tell you stories that would make your head spin. But I digress.....good luck to my baby boy.

I have no clue

Where to start? How does one start a blog? Who does one share a blog with? I am a mother of 3. Two crazy boys and a princess. Though I lay no claim in the assistance of said girl and her princess status. Our dear friends hold that honor. She spent one small afternoon upstairs with thier 3 daughters and all of a sudden we have a "Pretty, pretty princess" in the house. I hope to be able to raise my son's to be good men - you know the one's. The one we all look for and hope our husbands are. Those that look out for what is theirs and know the value of hardwork. Most importantly I want them to know how to love.
