We're on the road again. LOL Well not "right now" We've stopped in Kingdom City, MO for the evening. So in one day we have traveled from Colorado Springs, CO to Kingdom City, MO. (Gotta love hotels free WiFi) (Also gotta love my laptop for mother's day). hehe
We have spent $125.00 on gas so far. Not too bad. Not GREAT but not too bad. Now the price of lunch ticked me off. So much for getting something "healthy". Subway is TOO expensive - should of gave them all McD's. LOL
Well I better cut it short and get to bed. Getting up at 5am so I can make sure we're on the road by 6:30. Hopefully we'll make it to Stacy's by 1pm or 2pm.

World's Best Wife and Mom
You might recall when I purchased ECW/Smackdown tickets for hubby and the boys last month. Well the night of male bonding was last night. The guys ened up there for get this over 3 hrs! They showed ECW LIVE until 915 then switched to recording Smackdown for Friday night (you can still maybe catch them on TV on Friday.
They had some sweet ass seats if I say so myself. The only thing is they are "this" much out of camera range for most of the night. Though Princess and I did see them at the end of the LIVE show. She yelled and then asked where Daddy was. sadly we couldn't see him but when reviewing the recorded show we found him. Below is a snapshot (yes taken with my camera) of the show where I have labeled the boys and Chef's arm. (hey he was taking a picture like a good boy)
So when Princess saw them - Chef was taking THIS picture. Funny huh. Don't get it? Oh well. LOL
HEY it's Fred Flinestone (okay okay so it's the Big Show) Whatevers!
All kinds of dirty thought going on here. (shocking)
Remember that dude Mike from MTV's The Real World like a million years ago. He was on with that bitch Coral and claimed he was an awesome wrestler. He was gonna be one too when he grew up. WELL HEY he did it man. Go LOSER! Hey they can achieve dreams too. Now what would be awesome is if he would bring Coral out as a new female wrestler. That would be something. Here he is in the mess...can kinda see my little note there (darn picture for being too small and me for being too lazy to enlarge it) Oh and yeah he still SUCKS...LOL calls himself the Miz (OHHHHHHHHH)
Chef thought I'd like this picture. ummm sorry honey but there's only one man I want to see in Spandex and thats the ROCK (Oh I should of said him huh - well darn it we're being honest here) Would of taken a half nekkid pic of Cena though but alas he wasn't there - punk was in Denver on Monday night but wasn't here on Tuesday.
Here's Edge - he is another one who isn't half bad (but isn't the ROCK)- You'll see him on Friday nights Smackdown if you watch it.
He goes up against the UNDERTAKER - dude scares the shit out of me. Not sure how the boys slept after seeing him in person.
Here's one last shot of that blurry mess you can see Friday Night.
I am all kinds of awesome.

Going on a trip.
Yeah thats right a trip. Why you ask. The gas prices are insane so driving or flying right now is not worth it you say. Well gosh darn it. It IS worth it if your trip is to stay with FRIENDS for a WEEK. No we're not visiting family people. Not spending hundreds of dollers to sit in a home of people who just want, want and want some more. No having please everyone and pleasing no one. Nope not visiting family.
I'm hard core like that. Yeah you heard me HARD CORE! Get over it.
So using the handy dandy trip planner of our lovely online support : MapQuest I predict my trip to take me 1091.94 miles from home. (From CO to TN) We're driving my dear folks. Driving. With a grouchy hubby and 3 kiddos. Seriously the kids will be the EASY part of this trip. LOL
MapQuest also has a handy dandy gas caculater. So I can see about what my damnage will be for this trip. Ready for this???? It will cost ABOUT $ 204.56 just to get there (I might not come back...LOL). Thats with the caculations of 24 miles per gallon, 1091.94 miles and the gas price of $4.50 a gallon. Not too bad. I'll update what the end total is. Then again when we return so we can see if it changed any. Nail biting adventures on this blog here.
Bet you can't wait to find out.
Oh and I leave Saturday morning at O dark 30. Hopefully we'll get there sometime on Sunday. Have to stop overnight for the old man. I remember a time when he'd drive straight through. Times are changing and it isn't only the gas prices.

I've got crabs....well one...
"Okay everyone you better behave today. Thank goodness you have school. Hey get over here. Are you listening? Stop picking on your sister. No acting up while we have guests. No I don't know if they will still be here when you get home. Just plan on being good. Where's my straightening iron??? Oh there it is. Okay hurry everyone. They are on thier way! Remember what I said. Do I look okay?"
"Hey SITSta's! Welcome to my little corner of bloggy land. I hope you find everything to your liking. I'm headed out to go camping with the family tomorrow (That's good blog fodder) So if I don't get over to your place to say Thank You just remember I will as soon as possible. I hope you all enjoy your visit and your long weekend! Be safe and have fun. *MUAH* Help yourself to anything you find....just no long distance calls please."
I lead a boring life. Just wake up, work, sleep, repeat..LOL. Nothing really crazy happens here. Not like you read on other blogs.
Until now...
So Little Man got a fish tank for his b-day in April. Up til now he has only had a beta in it. Well it passed today. No biggie - Little Man wants to know if they can go get the little fish for the tank.
I should of never sent him with his dad. My first mistake.
They come home. Little Man is so proud of his purchase. Five little fish and a CRAB. Yep a crab (what did you think I was going to have THOSE crabs???).
So tonight I am just going to bed like I do every night. Check on the kids. LittleMan's light is on in the tank so I figure I'd go look since I hand't seen the new fish yet. I see something on top near the hole in the lid. I start thinking what did he put up there. I'll have to tell him not to put toys up there. WAIT what was that? It moved. Toys don't move (except on ToyStory - where's Buzz when I need him??) OMG *gasp* it's the crab!
So I'm move to the stairs to call Chef. "Come UP here NOW." -I say He's says what? (He's mad cause I pulled him away from his show). I screech quietly "In there (pointing to LittleMan's room). The CRAB is OUT."
So we creep back in there to find Little Man sitting up in bed pointing at the tank (here I thought I had been SO quiet!). They both look at the tank and then at me. They BOTH start laughing. BRATS!
I immediatley tell them that the crab HAS to go. It's out of here. Chef is like no I'll just tape the hole up. "There's TWO holes!" I say. Yes I'll tape them both he replied. NOPE! It's gone. OUT OF HERE!. Little Man says that it's okay he'll just go get a little frog instead. (have I mentioned he's my fav child? No I haven't? Okay good cause that would make me a BAD mommy). Chef says no we will keep the crab. Yeah we'll see who wins.
Now I can't sleep.

Sisters
A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot humid day,
drinking iced tea and visiting with her Mother. As
they talked about life, about marriage, about the
responsibilities of life and the obligations of
adulthood, the mother clinked the ice cubes in her
glass thoughtfully and turned a clear,
sober glance upon her daughter
'Don't forget your Sisters,' she advised, 'They'll
be more important as you get older. No matter how
much you love your husband, no matter how much you
love the children you may have, you are still going
to need Sisters. Remember to go places with them now
and then; do things with them.'
'Remember that 'Sisters' means ALL the women...
your girlfriends, your daughters, and all your other
women relatives too. 'You'll need other women.
Women always do.'
What a funny piece of advice!' the young woman
thought. Haven't I just gotten married?
Haven't I just joined the couple-world? I'm now a
married woman, for goodness sake! A grownup! Surely
my husband and the family we may start will be all I
need to make my life worthwhile!'
But she listened to her Mother. She kept contact
with her Sisters and made more women friends each
year. As the years tumbled by, one after another,
she gradually came to understand that her Mom really
knew what she was talking about. As time and nature
work their changes and their mysteries upon a woman,
Sisters are the mainstays of her life.
After more than 50 years of living in this world,
here is what I've learned:
THIS SAYS IT ALL:
Time passes.
Life happens.
Distance separates.
Children grow up.
Jobs come and go.
Love waxes and wanes.
Men don't do what they're supposed to do.
Hearts break.
Parents die.
Colleagues forget favors.
Careers end.
BUT.........
Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how
many miles are between you.
A girl friend is never farther away
than needing her can reach.
When you have to walk that lonesome valley and
you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life
will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on,
praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on
your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end.
Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you...
Or come in and carry you out.
Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters,
daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, Mothers,
Grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, and extended
family, all bless our life!
The world wouldn't be the same without women, and
neither would I. When we began this adventure called
womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or
sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we
would need each other..
Every day, we need each other still. Pass this on
to all the women who help make your life meaningful.
I just did. Short and very sweet:
There are more than twenty angels in this world.
Ten are peacefully sleeping on clouds. Nine are
playing. And one is reading her email at this moment.
Send this message to ten of your friends including
me. If you get 5 replies, someone you love will
surprise you.

He has come a long way...
Anyone who knows us knows how last year was a difficult year school wise for Monkey. He had lazy and unattentive teacher's who felt that all the issues were Monkey (not saying he can't be difficult) and not the fact that they didn't give a shit or the fact that he was in K with 26 wild arse kids and had not one moments peace. Anyhoo....fast forward to 1st grade. I met with his new teacher with nervousious(is that a word) and I was unsure how this year would be
(I should mention here that the teachers last year PUSHED me until I had him diagnosed and medicated for ADHD - which I hated because while I understand the needs for these drugs in some children they just weren't right at that time for Monkey - if I hadn't had him medicated they were threatening to put in his permemant record that he was disruptive and a bad child- yes I am serious here not making it up) It was a mess. Again off topic...
I spoke to his teacher this year Ms. B and explained that over the summer I worked with him on self control and using his words to express himself when upset. I informed her that I had him off meds the entire summer and wished to keep him off. Though I had put him on them again for the first week of school before I met with her. She suggested we continue for another couple weeks and then take him off of the meds for good. She also stated as a teacher it was HER JOB (shock right) to deal with children with ADHD and teach them how to behave.(yes you read that right - she said it too) I was fine with this. I checked in with her a few weeks later and she said she didn't notice a difference in his behaviors on the meds or off except he is touchie feelie more.
So yesterday we communicated by email about him a little boy coloring on each others pants. Once we were finished I shot her a msg back asking if there were any tips or suggestions I could give his 2nd grade teacher to keep him on task and focused in class.
This
is
her
reply:
He will be bringing home a math book with lots of pages in addition and subtraction. Also I will send home his grammar book with him. There are great websites too. They are on McAuliffe’s website. Go to classroom links and each grade level has wonderful links.
I think the only thing I really do as far as behavior is redirect him or I look at him and make eye contact. Proximity works too. Overall he is well-behaved so I don’t have to do much. Thanks to you! He is quick to get things finished. He sometimes day dreams or reads instead of working, but I never have an issue with unfinished work. I guess I do not have a lot of tips. That is a great thing though; I think he has come a long way.
Mrs. B
I COULD CRY! I love my Monkey! I am so glad he is enjoying school and doing so well. On another note - his behavior is mostly WONDERFUL. I limit red dyes as much as I can and have him on all natural vitamins every morning. Seriously this is all the change we've made to him. I've also been known to give him a little Coke when I need to make sure he remains calm....but not often as we never have soda in the house.

Men's Guide
So over at the Babycenter Bargin Board there was an insulting article about woman and sex....won't even bother with posting that one as it is insulting to all of us. On the other hand a smart cookie over there made her own Top Ten list for men. I copied it below. Very nice and true. So it to your men ladies.
1. No one wants to have sex with someone who acts like a child. Fulfill your responsibilities to your children and wife without her having to nag, and she won't feel like your mother.
2. Come home from work on time. And if you are going to work 3 hours late, tell her. No one finds someone sexy when the mental images she has of him are either of him smeared on the pavement or busy in someone else's bed.
3. Make her feel appreciated--and a slap on the azz doesnt count. Remember how she couldn't wait to hop in bed when you were dating? That is because you were still courting her and making her want to want you.
4. Sometimes, one more person touching her is TOOOOO much. So if she is home with small children all day, give her a break from the children when you get home. Some time to recover from having everyone need something from her every moment of the day will get you a long way.
5. Going south too soon. Do not “pass go and collect $200.” Diving in for the genitals too soon usually isn’t the best idea. A woman needs to be properly aroused before any below-the-belt action feels good.
Be sure to focus on her entire body — head to toe — before going for the gold.
6. Don't expect reciprocation every time. Don't go south only in hopes of getting a blow job. We KNOW when that's really what you had in mind.
7. Provide--make her feel secure. Step up like a man and ask for a raise, if you need one. Or look for a job that will provide for your family. If you are the type to chase rainbows, don't keep falling into the same financial pits again and again. Yes, it is old fashioned. But nothing worries a woman more than not feeling like her nest and her chicks are safe.
8. Skid marks are not sexy. Neither are sunny-side-up tighty whities in the bathroom or bedroom floor. She will find your underwear (and what's inside) a LOT sexier if she doesn't see your underwear alllll day long.
9. Continue to be the Handsome Prince here to save the day--when you get home from work, save her from the children. It isn't excited as slaying the dragons, but when you've been home with them for ten hours, they begin to LOOK like dragons.
10. Don't expect her not to expect you to grow up and change. If life changes and you stay the same, that makes you as obsolete as the Nintendo 64 in your garage.

It's a GIRL!!!!
I have another Neice coming. Only this time it is MY baby sister having the baby. She found out today that she is having a girl. Little bit wasn't shy at all and flashed the whole world (sounds familiar). She said they determined that she is 5mths along today but they didn't adjust her due date. So as of right now I have a niece to be arriving sometime around October 11th. Fun times. Now I need to see if I can afford to go home.
She wanted a son but I'm secretly glad it's a girl....she is suppose to be named after me.

A new lawn.
So our backyard has been a piece of shit and grass refuses (Chef refuses to water) to grow there. I think it's a combination of both those things. Anyways the daycare and us want to PLAY OUTSIDE DAMNIT. My wonderful daycare parents, S and L, came over on Sat and helped us till and remove and resod the backyard. It was back breaking work which was rewarded by a hearty meal of steak, potatoes and green sauce. Yeah they love us now. Should I say they are IN LOVE with Chef's green sauce. Yum Yum.
I forgot a before picture but you can see what it looks liked as we're working. Just imagine the whole yard a dirty mess like that.
S tilling away....
Hey look do I spy a little green. There's our grass man. LOL
S and L working hard (he thought it would be funny to toss dirt at her.)
We forgot a wheelbarrow....well we forgot a rake and shovel too but thankfully S and L had one of each...LOL.
HEY there's ME!
Chef aka Gimpy in on the action.
S and L - not working so hard....LOL.
Almost finshed removing the last two layers of sod that DIED on us. Someone (Chef) didn't water enough)
Yeah! We're finally unrolling. (and the shirts come off. LOL)
Last bits going in.
FINISHED! It only took us four hours too. Not bad at all. So thankful it is finished now. We have somewhere to play again. The kids can't wait to get out on there. They can't play play on it for a couple weeks but we will be using the patio now and won't have to worry about the dirt. NICE.

Remember when....
Aunt Becky over at Mommy wants Vodka is encouraging everyone to perform an act of kindness for someone else in rememberance of children/pg lost. What a SWEET and LOVING idea. A way for those of us who have loved and lost to remember our sweet little ones.
You've heard me mention my daughter Abigail on here. The Princess has visits with her regularly. We lost her in 2002. What a blow that was. Here I was 5mths pg with two little sons and a DH in Turkey. I was excited and ready for a baby. I prepared myself to be alone for the first 8mths of it's life and quite possibly deliever alone. Easy peasy for a military wife....right.... Unfortunally at our ultrasound they saw something worrisome (or lack of something) and sent me to OKC for a 3D US. It was immediately confirmed. I have a daughter and she is Anencephalic. Hopes and dreams crushed. DH came home...
Fast forward to 2004. We are pg again. We're having another daughter. AMAZING We're excited and blessed. We're in an happy place. DD comes - doctors refuse csection. We almost lose her also. The birth is so harsh and tramatic that she has swelling on her brain. She has sezuires and is put on meds. She comes home 5 days later. We rejoice! She is beautiful. She is our Princess. At this time we also move to CO.
I have the pleasure of meeting a wonderful woman. One who is a sister of my heart. My baby was 3mths old and my then 5 yr old was starting K for the first time. We met at the bus stop. Her 3rd child was in K with my LittleMan. She was pg and expecting in March. How exciting. We'd be great friends. Our children would be friends and we'd have a great time. Time goes on. What I predict comes true. We're friends. Her 4th child is BFF's with Monkey and The Princess adores her new baby, JoeJoe. Life is good. Then in the Spring of 2006 rigth after he turned a year old JoeJoe got sick. Darn Colorado....it has to be the altitude and enviroment here. They leave to go home to Illinos. He is admitted into the Children's Hospital. I can't be there and have to give support through the phone. I am heart broken. I need to, want to , have to be there for my friend. I hold her to my heart. She loses her baby. We don't know why. A few weeks later they finally recieve results. He had a tumor on his brain stem. WHY! He was too little. He was beautiful. I'm angry. It's not fair.
Our neighbor and friend Sarah finds out during the week of JoeJoe's passing that she is pg. It will be her first child. Everyone is happy for her. What a wonderful discovery in the face of loss. Fast forward....I get a call on Dec 29th. Baby Nick was born....early....he is only 25wks. We pray and wish that he will pull through. Children nowadays have a great chance. He too leaves us in ht early morning hours. I feel deeply connected. Our daughter was born at 25wks. We knew we'd have no chance but I still felt the connection. I tried my best to be there for her and offer them support.
Why? Before losing Abigail I had never dealt with a loss before. Never knew anyone who had. Now the people I'm closest too are hurting too. So I ask that in rememberance of them and to honor those Mother's you know please take Aunt Becky's advice. Perform an act of kindness on Mother's Day.

I always wondered...
why is it that during the 2nd and 3rd installments of Beauty and the Beast is the castle back under a spell? I mean at the end of the original they all turned back to their former selfs.
Things that make you go hmmmmm.
We know what happened to Cinderella, Belle and Jasmine but why aren't there "Happily Ever After's" for Ariel, Snow White and Aurora (Sleeping Beauty). I wanna KNOW what happened darn it. Don't you. What would your Ever Afters be?

Provider of the Year - what were they thinking?
Okay so earlier (okay 20-30mins ago...LOL) I mentioned that I made Provider of the Year (POY) for the base. Last Friday was our Provider Dinenr and my friend Sara watched the monsters with her monsters and they all lived happily ever after playing Mario Kart on the Wii. Where she promptly and throughly beat my 7yr old and his siblings suck cause they let her. Anyways I'm off track. LOL
At the dinner I managed to drag Chef and my two daycare mom's. They are awesome ladies and I enjoy hanging out with them. Ms A brought me beautiful flowers (awe how SWEET). So we're enjoying ourselves when they went and did it. (The Coordinator and Trainer that is...not to mention the OTHER provider's).
Ms Karen (the trainer) is getting ready to annouce POY. The other provider's sitting near me start chanting my name. (what would they have done if they called someone elses name?????). Well she calls my name out then. I shoot a glare at the racket in the back (LOL) and go up front in true embarassment. Recieve my award and listen to the Commnader tell me how I'm awesome and how what I do is a wonderful thing (not those words - I mean he IS a Commander so I'm sure it sounded a ton better - I just wanted to sit down)
So then we end the evening sitting in another room at the club with these AWESOME drinks and chatting. Chef ran to Sara's to snag the kids before she thought they moved in. (Although I know for a fact she wants my daughter...LOL - most days she could have her)
Here are some pics from that night....

Seriously....
UGH - thats it just ugh. LOL
Why is it men don't think thats it's important to do nice things for their wives on a regular basis. In the last week I've finished my first college classes (with A's), made Provider of the Year for the base AND planned/carried out The Princess's bday party with little help from him.
All I want is a little recognition from him. More then "That's awesome." or something. UGH it bites - it also bites that I feel this way. I hate feeling shitty cause someone doesn't show they care. Anyways....
Then when I express it to him he just gives me a blank stare. He looks "bothered that I feel bad" but he does nothing to "fix" his issues with showing it. Today I even gave him examples that he goes out to the bar with guys who make rank so they feel good but his wife gets nothing more then a "Good Job" when she does something. WHo's more important them or me. So every couple months I feel like crap again. Maybe I should just get over it cause he'll never change. His arguement when I say I deserve better is to find someone else then. Well what if I don't want to - I WANT HIM. (asshole) I'm not asking for much.

Sums it up pretty well...
I was visting a dear woman over at Mommy Wants Vodka (you HAVE to check her out). She is witty, fun and really just tells it like it is. She unfortuanlly suffered through a miscarriage recently and at the end of one of her blogs about it she wrote the following statement. To me it is so VERY true. I never knew how to express what you just have to do. She did. I'm grateful.
It happened, I’m suitably wrecked, and I’ll survive. It’s what we all do.
This sums up how and why we woman who've suffered the loss of a child manage to go on. Frankly we have no choice....it's just something we have to do.

A Princess turns 4
Well my Princess turned 4 today. Amazing how fast the time has gone by. I feel like it was just yesterday that we were in Turkey and she was born. It was such a crazy and hetic time then. She spent 5 days in the hospital and then we had issues getting her Birth Certificate issued. I almost couldn't bring her home to the US. SO crazy. Thankfully it all got worked out. Now....well now she a Princess. One of our hearts - she is a part of us and she makes us who we are.
We had a Princess party on Saturday. All the little girls wore Princess dresses and all the older boys ran away upstairs to hide from the pink and pretty. LOL It was great.
I made the cake (thats another post...lol) and The Princess took almost 2hours to open gifts and really there were not THAT many. She was just very SLOW about it. We had to take breaks and do other things so the guests wouldn't be bored. LOL
I'm still tired form it but thats cause Chef wasn't much help. He had knee surgury a couple weeks ago and couldn't be around all those kids. Lucky him!
