Hello?Hello?

"Okay everyone you better behave today. Thank goodness you have school. Hey get over here. Are you listening? Stop picking on your sister. No acting up while we have guests. No I don't know if they will still be here when you get home. Just plan on being good. Where's my straightening iron??? Oh there it is. Okay hurry everyone. They are on thier way! Remember what I said. Do I look okay?"

"Hey SITSta's! Welcome to my little corner of bloggy land. I hope you find everything to your liking. I'm headed out to go camping with the family tomorrow (That's good blog fodder) So if I don't get over to your place to say Thank You just remember I will as soon as possible. I hope you all enjoy your visit and your long weekend! Be safe and have fun. *MUAH* Help yourself to anything you find....just no long distance calls please."

So today has just been one thing after another. We got up and I took the Princess to Gymnastics.

Chef took the boys to their first Baseball game. Apprently they had a BLAST and he took pictures but since he left for an overnight camping trip I don't have those pictures. Hopefully you'll get them tomorrow. HECK hopefully I'll get to SEE them tomorrow too.

So since Chef was running off I was going to take the kids to see KungFu Panda and lunch. We decided to head to lunch while there I tried calling Sara. Well she wasn't answering her cell (avoiding me???) so I tried her "home" number. A guy answers and says she is sleeping. Um okay just have her call me (brat) So then "Sara" calls me back. We converse a few mins.... "Just calling to see if you still wanted to go to the movies (me)? "Oh I wish I could but I'm busy today (I start thinking "Sara" sounds "funny") "Oh too bad okay well I'll talk to you later." (me) Okay bye ("Sara") Immediately after I get a text msg from.... SARA. Um okay werid. She says that she has a sinus headache and missed me call. (HUH?) So eventually I ask her if we JUST talked on the cell. She says no.

Yep thats right folks - I called some "Sara" and invited her to go to the movies with my children and me. Um the other "werid" part of this is that the "home" number I called was in fact Sara's (the one I know) previous home number. So (still with me?) her old number was given to ANOTHER Sara. Werid huh.

Anyways so after all that and the movies (funny btw). We went to Tarjay and picked up a new bookcase. Came home and I put it together. Then rearranged the playroom. (YES AGAIN) Needless to say we all stayed up late. Since I'm such a wonderful mom I gave my kids PB&J for dinner since they had a great lunch at Mimi's and tons of popcorn oh and a HUGE can of Pringles(each). Hand me my award!

I would so like to know what "Sara" was thinking when she checked the number who called. She might be thinking "Hey I have a stalker..."

You'll have to fight me for that award. That's really weird about your friend Sara!! What are the odds??

Can you imagine what the new Sara was thinking!?! And to go along with what you were saying...hmm.

And I see absolutely nothing wrong with PB&J for dinner.

so, if "sara" wasn't busy, perhaps she would've been able to go, and then you would have had a nice chance to meet, lol.

as far as the pb&j goes...you're better than me!!! I have been known to let me children having the following for dinner...Cereal (often)...pie (just once, and it was the whole pie)...and Ice Cream. That's right, folks. Pie & ice cream. Both of these occassions were when I was sick, and announced they were to all fend for themselves....that was what they chose to eat.

miraculousy, they survived.

Would have been funny Sara #2 just showed up at the movies.

And hey, I have been known to make nachos for dinner and have us eat off of one big plate in the living room!

haha! I've totally done that before. I once had a 20 minute text convo with a guy named Brian. Later I found out that the Brian that I thought I was talking to didn't have text messaging on his phone. I was talking to a different guy who probably had no idea what I was talking about!

how weird would it have been if the other sara said "sure! i'd love to go!" and actually went? LOL!

Pretty weird coincidence!

Last night my youngest daughter wanted "marshmallow" cereal (aka generic/organic Lucky Charms) which we almost had. Maybe tonight. ;)

Happy SITS day!

And how weird about the Sara mixup, especially that the woman you talked to didn't realize she didn't know you :) Funny!

I had the same sort of conversation involving a pizza once.
You see, we had a number very similar to a local pizza joint. I had called dominoes to order a pizza for delivery. 2 min. later the phone rings and all the person says is, "Ya, a large Pepperoni & Sausage!" I'm thinking it's Dominoes calling back to confirm my order and say, "No, just Pepperoni." The person on the other end forcefully says, "NO, Pepperoni & Sausage!" and I in turn more forcefully say, "NO, JUST Pepperoni!" Finally the guy on the other end says, "WHY can't I have a Pepperoni & Sausage?" That's when I realized he had mis-dialed the local pizza joint.
Confusing stuff!
:-)

great post...but think how much more fun the story would have been had "sara" said yes! then you would have had a story for the record books hehe

Hey, there's nothing wrong with PB&J for dinner when you don't have a better alternative. I mean c'mon, they're getting umm protein. And fruit. And grains. All they're missing is a little dairy, but you have to have some milk to wash it all down, don't you?

I wonder who that Sara thought she was calling? Did she have a friend with your name?

That's too funny about the other Sara. She was either stuck for the rest of the day trying to figure out who she knew that just invited her, or freaking out that some weirdo she didn't know was calling her.

That would be fun prank calling...to call and invite someone to a movie...pretend like they should know you....lol

oooh way to mess with you!! Hilarious.

Why did she call you back and not ask who you were? Craziness!

That's just all kinds of strange!!!

That is really wierd! I had something similiar happen to me I called my hubby and some girl answered I guess the lines got crossed or something because the phone was dialing him (I saw the #) then she called back well her BF did and asked if I called. All very confusing.

I am really curious as to what the other Sara was thinking. Didn't she wonder who was calling her?! And Kung Fu panda was a funny movie

PB&J for dinner...why is that a prob?? Mine would have had the Tarjay popcorn with an ICEE for lunch if it were my story. So, I'd say you are pretty ok with the PB&J dinner!

♥ Becky ♥ said...

How wierd is that!!! And the fact that the other "Sara" said she couldn't because she was busy. Does she not realize that she doesn't know who you are? Maybe she had a friend with your name as well. Very wierd!!!!

If "Sara" had said yes, that would have made my day!!

Nice... would've been great if she showed up! Hey and any dinner that fills the kids belly is a good one! ;-)

Hi, this is Sara. I'm feeling much better now and would love to go to a movie with you after all. Maybe Basic Instinct or something?

I don't know if I'd think that was really cool or if I'd be totally creeped out....

Can I be your kid? I want PB&J, popcorn and a can of Pringles.

The telephone company should be shot for giving Sara's telephone # to another Sara.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who says "Tarjay"! LOL!

Happy SITS

Actually I totally had this happen to me. My husband called our best friend Cheryl for something. Her Dad answered and said that Cheryl had just wrecked her car and was on the way to the hospital. He called back later to see how she was and ask about the car and she said - what accident? It was a totally different Cheryl at the wrong number he had dialed. Freaky!

PS: What a darling little girl!

I wonder if Sara has gotten other calls for the old Sara. We have had the same phone number for eight years, but still get calls occasionally for people who used to have that number. Maybe the new Sara thought she knew you too.
